Location Collared hill partridge

The collared hill partridge is endemic to Southeast China.  

Its bird nesting season starts in April and ends in May. 

Above chestnut colored upper part of the chest it has a black collar and a white strip. Its bottom part is dark gray, which transitions into whitish color on its belly. The scruff and back are red and brown with black spots. The rear is olive brown with black spots. The colors of its wings gradually change from grayish to red and brown. Female looks the same as male, only is somewhat smaller. Its short beak is gray, eyes brown and legs red. Younger individuals have duller or more matte chest.
