The Leopard Gecko inhabits territories from the southeast of Afghanistan to the north of India. It is a nicely colored reptile, yellow to yellow-brown with small dark brown spots, but there are many color mutations. The tail is round in cross-section, clearly articulated and relatively short. It grows to a size of 20-30 cm. It has five fingers with claws on its limbs. Its eyes have vertical pupils and, unlike other geckos, it has eyelids that closes when it sleeps. It does not have finger pads on its limbs like other geckos. Instead, has claws, which he uses to cling to trees and rocks.
