Location Harris's hawk

Harris's hawks form family groups and inhabit arid areas of Central and South America.Three birds may be present at a single nest, with two males and one female sitting on a laying platform. The latter nest two or three times a year. The chicks can stay with their parents for up to three years, at which time they help to bring up the next brood. Harris's hawks do not migrate, they have a permanent territory. They hunt prey in groups of four to six individuals. They surround it and the strongest individual then attacks and kills it.
